New SSF4 Stages Revealed
On Super Street Fighter 4’s To-Do list of new features/enhancements has been the promise of new stages. We’ve seen teasers of Metro City (complete with Haggar and Andore cameos), but the remaining stages have been under wraps for some time. Today, Capcom finally released new screens of the remaining stages.
- Africa – full of animals… from Africa
- Crumbling Lab – lab equipment that is crumbled
- India – things from India
- Korea – Korean peoples and stuffs
- Metro City – nary a metrosexual to be seen
I’m very happy to see that Capcom has kept up its blatant stereotyping – they’ve really captured the essence of each locale. I’m eagerly anticipating further announcements of stages. Might I suggest a Jew-Room? Everyone in the background would brandish large noses and be counting some form of currency. At the edges of the screen would be breakable crates containing dreidels!
All jokes aside, the backgrounds have layers and layers of scenery and seem to be modeled a tad better than in SF4. There is a significant amount of detail included in each stage, but one wonders if it all might be a bit too busy. Time will tell – I can’t wait to see them in action.
Tell me again, why isn’t this DLC?

Yeah, I still have not seen anything that depicts why this isn’t DLC. I’m sure you’ll pull out, “The fighting system is changed” yet from videos of Stereotype asian girl with giant breasts and stereotype black man along with stereotype Native Amexican I haven’t garnered anything different.
However, that Jew Room would be kinda nice. If you get a perfect Jesus can walk by with a cross while they throw stones and at one point you can throw your opponent into him then Mel Gibson comes out and makes a lot of money.
dkoi – because if they made this DLC then they wouldn’t be able to justify selling all of the alternative costumes as dlc XD
Here’s my personal opinion, and I know no one asked, but these are the interwebs.
I believe that they should release SSF4 as a complete game AND as a DLC for SF4 (at a reduced cost) I would also like to know more about this “new system” because based on the screenshots/video clips I’ve seen, it looks the same.
