SPOILER’S SPORTSBALL: Madden Predicts the AFC Championship Game

This Sunday, January 24th, the New York Jets will meet the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium to see which team deserves to represent the AFC in the 2009-2010 Super Bowl. Well, Travis (that’s me) already knows the answer….

I simulated the playoff game using my copy of Madden 10 here at the InDis offices and I am pleased to tell you Indy fans that the Colts will, indeed, win this weekend 41-37.

The Colts were up at halftime 6-24 until the Jets stole the momentum with an interception return for a touchdown and after the half, the Jets grabbed control of the 2nd half and scored on their final possession to take the lead by 4 points with one minute left in the game. Sadly, for the Jets, fate struck a crushing blow and Indy’s T.J. Rushing returned the kickoff for the final touchdown, giving Indy their Super Bowl bid.

I hope the real game was as exciting as this one.

Here are some stats:
Colts
Payton Manning: 31-36 att, 416 yds thrown, 4 TDs
Austin Collie: 8 rec, 141 yds
Reggie Wayne: 64 yds, 3 TDs

Jets
Mark Sanchez: 30-46 att, 434 yds thrown, 2 TDs, 2 Ints
Thomas Jones: 79 yds rushing, 41 yds rec, 1 TD
Davis Clowney 119 yds rec, 2 TDs

We will simulate Minnesota VS New Orleans later this week.

Travis, are you going to sell your copy of Madden if they do not have the Saints winning the SB? :P
