The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings
For those who are not familiar with the Witcher series, it is based off a mid-90s Polish book series of the same name by Andrzej Sapkowski. Though not having personally been able to read the series since only one book of the five has been translated to English, I have heard that the Witcher games maintain the thematic elements Sapkowski establishes in the books. People are used to black and white storytelling where there is a clear line between good and evil. This is not so in the Witcher. A majority of the game is making decisions that have no clear moral binding.

L.A. Noire
When you first look at L.A. Noire you notice two things: Rockstar Games and a cop. The second thing that is probably thought is this: “Cool, GTA as a cop in 1940s LA.” That line of thinking is very wrong though. L.A. Noire is vastly different than any game you’d expect to see sporting a […]

Dungeon Siege III
When I first heard of Dungeon Siege III and found out a little about it, my mind quickly went to the fine loot gathering days I had with my friends. Not only does Dungeon Siege bring the addictiveness of loot, but it also brings quite a good bit of modern sensibility in terms of game […]
