Darksiders sequel announced!
Everyone knows we loved some Darksiders right? I hope you do.
Well, I don’t know about the other guys, but I know I was kind of worried about whether or not we would see a sequel to this magical game when it was reported that analysts like Todd Greenwald said “[Darksiders] didn’t perform up to THQ’s expectations likely selling less than 1 million units despite heavy marketing dollars [and] 2-3 years of development costs.”
Lukily, it turns out that he was wrong. During THQ’s fiscal update yesterday, they flexed their muscles by saying that the action-adventure title from Vigil Games has shipped 1.2 million copies worldwide in its first four weeks.
Pretty damn good for a new IP if you ask me. The game was added to THQ’s list of franchises, which means… sequel? Seems as such. But if that report is true, we’ll have to wait until 2012 to see it. *cries*
Oh well. Looks like I’ll have to be patient.
Later People.
Wow, 1.2 mill? I didn’t think that it would sell as much as that. Also, I am waiting in anticipation as well Chris for the sequel.
Whoop Whoop!
