Darksiders 360 getting a patch very soon
Darksiders, likely the first sleeper hit of 2010 has just hit retailers a couple days ago and it will already be receiving a patch….that is if you have the 360 version.
Many reviews over the past few days have noted that the PS3 version of the game runs at a more consistent frame rate as well as has far less screen tearing compared to its 360 counterpart. Luckily, the developers at Vigil are listening and taking notice.
Joe Madureira who heads up Vigil Games said in a recent interview with www.ign.com that they are aware of the issues and will be releasing a patch very soon.
It’s something that’s really not a difficult fix for us and so we’re going to implement a patch to resolves the problem. We’re fairly certain it’ll happen really soon so look out for it.
A HUGE good on ya to Vigil Games for stepping up to the plate this quickly and taking action. Hopefully, that patch hits soon like he says.
Just a quick tidbit on Darksiders, this was a game not on many peoples radar that seemed to pop up out of nowhere after an entire year of delays. It combines Zelda like exploration and dungeons with a sort of God of War lite type of combat. People should definitely check it out. In fact, the game went from us likely passing on it to all 4 members of us here at Interactive Distractions picking it up day one, and so far we’re loving it!
