CAPCOM Delays games of early 2010 due to Holiday part duex

delayed

This holiday was definitely one that was filled with AAA titles that we will likely be playing well into 2010. So much so many developers pulled their games from the holiday 2009 lineup so their games would get more attention the following year…but will they really? Looks like the start of the new year will be just as busy as the holidays.

With games such as Bayonetta, Dantes Inferno, Mass Effect 2, Bioshock 2, God of War III amoungst a bunch others, it doesn’t come as a much a susprise that CAPCOM noticed this as well and are pushing some of their flagship games of early 2010 back a it.

Some games they have announced will be getting later release dates are Lost Planet 2, Monster Hunter Tri, Dead Rising 2 and GASP!!!!,  Super Street Fighter IV.

Although Dead Rising and SSFIV did not have specific release dates CAPCOM was planning on them hitting in 4th quarter(fiscal) 2010. Still no firm dates have been announced but it’s safe to say none of these games will see store shelves or your consoles until April at the earliest as that would begin the next quarter.

So it looks like a gaming drought that was once dredded and now would be welcomed, is still nowhere in sight. Oh well, at least my wallet will have a little bit of a break!
